I have had my current shunt for 6 years and so far, so good. However, due to my vp shunt I can't go near high magnitude and in some stores because their censors change my dial.

Six Years ago I lost my eyesight because of opticatrophy and my life has changed forever. I am 90% blind; I can count some fingers and see shadows. Throughout these six years, I have faced many challenges in terms of life in general, society, school, work, peers, etc. I feel that as a blind person, people treat me differently and at times it is hard to grasp. There's an interesting quote I heard by an unknown author. "I am not a blind person, but instead a person who happens to be blind".
