      Treatments

      Fludara Somewhat Helpful
helped get the original diagnosis cleared up. Had minimal stomach issues more pain than nausea, did not lose his hair. Did fairly well.
      Methotrexate Too Soon to Tell
using for recurring lymphoma in the brain. too soon to tell. No side effects at all. He is tolerating it very well.
      R-CHOP Working / Worked
brutal but got him into remission. Terrible side effects nausea, lost his hair, and really wiped out his immune system each time. He was in the hospital for nutrapenic fever every treatment. Very tough....
      Rituxan Somewhat Helpful
had a reaction to it the first time with rigors. tolerated it faily well.
    • Close Brain / CNS Tumors

My 42 year old husband was dx with CNS Lymphoma on Sept 25, 2008. He has a history of Non Hodgkin's in which he was in remission for 18 months. Dr. says the only we could find out if this is a recurrance or a new onset would be to do a DNA test that is not available to us. It seems as though they are treating him as a new onset as this lymphoma (CNS) looks different than the first.

      Treatments

      Chemotherapy Working / Worked
Methotrexate, Temador and Rituxan with Leukavorin. So far so good, very tired. Has not lost his hair, no nausea to date and hopefully there won't be any! Do have terrible dried lips and having issues with inside of nose being very dry and bloody. He gets a sore throat the week after. Not sure if these are all related to the chemo but my guess would be yes. He has had 3 rounds and it appears to be working. Large lesion has shrunk almost 50% and a couple of the smaller ones are gone.
      Temodar Working / Worked
He has only had one treatment which was by pills for 5 days. Too soon to tell about whether it is working. Doesn't seem to have many side effects.
