To all of you who are believers, who have families to celebrate with, enjoy.  I am so tired of the commercialization, the frenzied shopping, and the phoniness of it all.  Barring flood, fire, or medical emergency, I am not leaving the house until the 26th, at the earliest.

I just find that the older i get, the less noise and foolishness I want around me. Around here the kids are all in hyper-greed mode. The parents are frantic, stressed out, and everyone is still trying to outbuy their neighbors. Roomie's ne'er do well son has been nosing around, trying to get everyone else to pay for Christmas for gis houseful of kids. Plus, I am not getting a break from anything. I might enjoy the holiday more if I qas getting aq day or two off of work or something. I am not really angy, just disgusted, tired of it, and not in the holiday spirit whatsoever.

oh linda ,i know i should be counting my blessings ,especialy at this time of year ,but what IS it about the holidays ,that make any problem stand out like a sore thumb ,and everybody else ,seem irritating ,and OTT?!!
with all the strain of my daughters on going illness ,i have precious little xmas spirit im afraid ,and i agree with you ,its way too commercialized now~~heck ,we had xmas stuff in the shops as the kids went back after the summer holidays!!!
I just hope you can sit and realx ,if only for a while. It`s supposed to be a holiday ,so im hoping you get a break!

That which we can't change, we must laugh at. I am not a big fan of little kids, as many people know, at least not as a species, and the worst of them have been out in full force this Christmas season. I refuse to leave the house until the greedy little monsters have gotten all the goodies their parents can hock their souls to buy. I seriously think I could be easily tempted to hurt someone in the stores otherwise. Rude assed bitches, bqarrelling through Wally Weird like it is a life or death race. Gee, maybe it would not hurt little Alphonse to do without that wii console, if it is going tro put the family in the poor house.

WOW! You not only tell everyone that the Emperor has no clothes--You put him up and point out his wee willy as well! Way to go--
