Close Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer)

On 11/17/04 I had a Cat Scan of the abdomen and pelvis to check on my diverticulosis when they found a 3cm lesion in my left kidney that presented as cancer. The same day I had an MRI and saw the urologist at the hospital where I work. He told me that it probably was Renal Cell and that I had to have a Radical Nephrectomy. The procedure was performed on 12/9/04 and the pathology came back as Renal Cell Ca. I had a Cat Scan every 6 months for 2 years and then once a year.

Treatments

Nephrectomy Working / Worked

It will be 4 years post-op on 12/9/08 and have not had any other issues.
