Working mom in the healthcare industry. One successfully raised adult child and one struggling teenager still at home. Wonderful, supportive husband. Recently diagnosed with RA. Have been on meds since mid January and still waiting for them to really kick in. Since every day brings new symptoms and problems, I am trying to sort out how to handle all of this.

Close Parenting Teenagers (12-18)
I have a great kid who is almost 17. We have ridden out some rough times together and our bond is so much stronger because of it. I worry about him though, he struggles in school and with a pot addiction. We switched him to an alternative school this year as he flunked out of the mainstream program. I wish he was more motivated, instead of just existing.
