About Me
I am newley diagnosed with naroclepsy and want to find some support groups. I want to learn more about all the research that is being done. I am a cosmetologist and esthetician and want to study bio chem to work in a labe and make make up. I am very driven and having narcolepsy somtimes slows me down. but I am determined to get well and be on the top of my profession no metter how much work it takes. I love my family they are the best and I am very close with them...well thats me for now

Close Narcolepsy
I am recently diagnosed but have struggled for years. the symtoms seam to have gotten worse of the years with more noticible signs of cataplexy. I can't wake up to any alarm clock anf have constant muscle pain. im constantly late and can't wakr up. that makes it hard at work. and iI hate cataplexy and that one sec im fine then an emotion comes and I have overwhelming pain and exauhistion. I don't know anyone with this disorder but now I am meeting all of you so that is encouraging.
Treatments
- Provigil Somewhat Helpful
- It seemed to work farily well in the first few months but I still can't initially wake up. and once I take it seems not to last all day. I have heard a little about xyrem. does anyone know more about it?
