    • About Me

Just doing the MS thing. I was struck with MS rather abruptly in Sept '07. I lost most bodily functions I had known and depended on daily within a week’s time. It was a long, hard introduction to MS, which took me a year to recover from... My life had become solely about MS and survival for the next full year. Just recently (Sept. '08) I have gotten to experience a degree of who I once was. Now, I am not certain where or how to begin again. MS has displaced me in life as I sold all I owned to leave the country and was struck hard with MS just two days prior to leaving.

    • Little Love

      From Tacklems April 28

Anytime you need a friend If you're lonely And need a friend And troubles seem like They never end, Just remember to keep the Faith, And Love will be there to Light the Way Anytime you need a friend, I will be here. You'll never be alone again, So don't you fear. Even if you're miles away, I'm by your side. So don't you ever be lonely. Love will make it alright. When the shadows are closing in And your Spirit deminishing, Just remember you're not alone, And Love will be there To Guide you Home. (Chorus) If you just believe in me, I will Love you endlessly. Take my hand. Take me into your Heart. I'll be there forever, baby. I won't let go. I'll never let go. Anytime you need a friend, I will be here. You'll never be alone again, So don't you fear. Even if your miles away, I'm by your side. So don't you ever be lonely. It's alright. It's alright.

    • Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
      Type: Relapsing-remitting MS

It's time to begin life now with MS. I have had MS for over a year... it stole my first year. I recently healed from a year long relapse...quite an introduction it was. Now that I am back on my feet... I need to begin life over. Haven't figured it out as of yet... but the first steps will begin soon.

      Treatments

      Copaxone Not Working
Was on Copaxone for a short period. It was determinded I needed something stronger to fight the MS. Copaxone was easiest to take of the three drugs I have been on.
      Rebif Not Working
Hard to get used to. After 7 months on Rebif... my MS progressed severely. I was switched to Copaxone and then immediately to Tysabri.
      Solumedrol Not Working
No more IV steroids for me... what a nightmare.
      Tysabri Working / Worked
Too soon to tell. This is my third drug in less than a year of MS. I have recently received my third infusion.
