I have dealt with anxiety for about 12 years.
Treatments
- Breathwork Working / Worked
- Breathwork seems to really help in the middle of an attack, IF I remember to do it.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- Works great for depression and controls most of my anxiety.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- I take Xanax for full-blown panic attacks. It settles me down enough so that I can do the breathwork and practice my rational self-talk.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- Over the years, I have learned how to challenge my thinking and engage in rational self-talk.
Close Bereavement
Type: Loss of a ParentMy father died of colon cancer in 1999 at the age of 67. My mother died of liver disease in 2004 at the age of 68
