I hve only gotten about 5 hours of sleep in the last two days... too much pain too sleep. I have very little hope of any relief anytime soon, and the pain is getting progressively worse. I don't know what to do. I am afraid to talk to my family after all the snide comments I've already gotten from them about my not working, spending the day laying on the couch, and not getting out...
I thing my daughter is the only reason I keep going. If I didn't have her, I would have probably crawled in to a hole by now.

Maybe you can ask your doctor for something to help you sleep. I take Trazadone and it keeps me asleep for a good, solid 6 hours at least. It is important that you get the sleep you need as exhaustion can make your pain worse. It is a vicious cycle isn't it? The more pain you have the less sleep you get and the less sleep you get the greater your pain will be.

It is so unfair that your family makes snide comments. They need to walk in your shoes for a while. You are doing the best you can sweetheart. I too would probably have crawled in a hole if not for my husband and son. I can relate to the lack of sleep and pain. It drains us. I hope you are able to get some help medically for your pain. Please take care and always here for you.

Hi hon - I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I've taken Flexeril and Ibuprofen and Tramadol and Neurontin and I got very little relief. Now I take the Ibuprofen and the Neurontin and the Tramadol and Benedryl. The Benedryl helps to sleep a little bit but some days I just hurt none stop like you. Have you tried water therapy? Keep your doctor on his/her toes, if they don't help you, don't hesitate to get a new one. I've gone through three doctors in the last 6 months. Hang in there - you will get through this!
