Close Fibromyalgia
Dx in 1985 and have gone down hill ever since. Declared disabled in 2003. Using crutches for over three years due to many falls and ruining feet. Use power chair around house. Developed coldness in my hands.Has moved up arms. Had it been treated while in feet and legs, it wouldn't have gone to hands. Am waiting on skin biopsy to verify small fiber neuropathy. Difficulty with pain meds has left me with one or two I can use that are effective.
Treatments
- Cyclobenzaprine Working / Worked
- worked but developed fluid build up had to stop
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Worked but developed suicidal tendencies.
- Duragesic Patch Working / Worked
- Worked. Side effects - constipation. Taken off by new doc.
- Heat Working / Worked
- Soothes muscles but irritates nerves.
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- Worked but I put on 20+ lbs and developed laryngeal edema. Had to come off immediately. Six weeks withdrawal - nasty.
- Ultram Working / Worked
- Working - just started a few days ago. Doesn't do the whole job, but it's better than nothing.
- Vitamin B12 Somewhat Helpful
- Helps energy level.
- Massage Working / Worked
- Lymph massage helps me a great deal. Contracted muscles dont allow for lymph to move.
