I have had varicose veins since I was a teenager. I have had some serious cases of very painful phlebitis. I refused surgery for vein stripping. I have been told I do have a medical need for sugery. But, I continue to consider other options. I would like to share more about this with others.

In addition to many other rare multiple chronic illness; I have now been diagnosed with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. Originally, they had diagnosed me with chest wall pain & inflammation of the lining of my lung, chest wall & heart; a week later I ended up back at the ER, then they found a pulmonary embolism & pulmonary infarct. Part of my lung died & a peice of it broke off. I am 38 yrs old. They ran tests while I was in-patient at the hospital & they came back positive for this.
