Thanks! I love how it's turning out. I'm using size 4 because I wanted the stitches to be snug. I know, crazy me. Yes, the ndl size is an obstacle, but swapping colors every 7 sts really does it. I usually use larger needles because of the tendonitis in my right hand, but then the sts are too loose.
Someone in our crafters group told me that I should have done it horizontally so I could finish it a lot faster, but then I'd have to use a circular needle and I have a terrible time with those. I crocheted for years before knitting and I just can't seem to hold the left needle up in the air. I tuck it in where my left leg meets the abdomen.
Looks great! Looks like you are using a small needle size? Maybe that is slowing you up a bit. It's going to look great when it's done :)
