UPDATE ON REMISSION Mood
Friday, September 4, 2009

My lab work came back showing me as "normal" again. My endo stopped the methimazole (I was on 2.5mg per day) and I'm to get labs done the week before I see her on Oct. 22. Today is my first day without and I'm praying hard there will be no graves' effects. I feel like my old self, my weight is up to 149 where it was 164 when it started dropping to 122. The endo said on my last visit, you are trying to get your weight back where it was lol. That is fine with me as long as it doesn't include the graves' symptoms. I've always been about this weight. God please help me be in remission, Thank YOU.

Hugs and love to my dear friend Mary for the support you give me and our phone calls are a delight.

Thank you to all of my DS supporters and friends, keep those prayers coming.

This thing never goes away, it just hides.

Love you all.

EYE SURGERY Mood
Saturday, August 22, 2009
The ball finally is rolling toward my eye muscle surgery to correct this God awful double vision. In a way I'm glad the first available consult time for the sergeon is in Oct., it gives me time to dwell on it and get my hens in order. The surgery date will be set after that visit. I have to travel 89 miles to the nearest surgeon, dang it sux to live in a huge location that doesn't have at least one person to do this. My orb doctor that did the referal to this sergeon used to do muscle surgery but doesn't now. I begged her, "just this one time, please do me", nope :-(

Please keep us all up to date on how you are doing. You will do fine. Be sure someone is with you to take you home and maybe stay with you a day or two. I was out of it for a couple of days and would never have made it home.

Headed for Remission Mood
Thursday, July 16, 2009
My endo dropped my meth to 2.5mg per day and said she won't be doing RAI because my eyes are bad. If after my next labs in 6 weeks they stay the same and the antibodies are gone she will take me clear off the meth and she told me to tell the orb doctor to go ahead with the eye muscle surgery anytime :-) I see her next week. Pray for me.
