"This week we are cleaning out the garage and hauling away things and giving away things. Baby not here yet But we are tired his son is sick."

First of all Thanks Freida for sharing this with me.

Many of us have someone we need to forgive.
It can be so difficult to come to a chapter in
our journey here on earth where we can truly
understand how unforgiveness can actually be
a prison of sorts for the one who has been
wronged.

You may feel like this sometimes... " But they
really hurt me badly, and I just don't think I can
forgive them, and even if I could forgive them I
know I can never forget."

What is forgiveness? Forgiveness is not
necessarily as Greek Philosophy teaches,
"pardoning others". In Aramaic, forgiveness
is an internal, self healing tool.

Forgiving releases God to do His work in me. I am
much happier and feel better physically when I'm
not filled with the poison of anger, resentment and
unforgiveness. Our illnesses become worse as
a result of stress and pressure that bitterness, and
unforgiveness put on us.

You may then say... But do I have to remain in the
"abusers life" ? Do I need to still socialize with my
abuser and allow them to continue abusing and
hurting me? Of course you do not. God does not
expect his children to be abused.

So do yourself a big favor—and forgive. Then after
you forgive, hold that precious head of yours up
high and walk away trusting God to put His comfort
salve on your wounds. He will get you through it
and He loves you unconditionally and without
reserve. Free yourself up from your prison of
unforgiveness. God has a special blessing right
around the corner for you.

This is such wonderful advice! I read this as well. We must forgive. Holding onto anger and unforgiveness is a sin. Jesus forgave us, and we must forgive others.

Really meaningful writing!! Very inpirational and true!

I too have been thru a major huge event in my past in which it took me a long time to stop hating & to forgive all that were involved but when you cross that threshold you don't forget it.
