I am an RN who was recently diagnosed with sero-negataive RA. The truth is that I have probably had it for 4-5 years before x-ray and MRI confirmed the diagnosis.

I understand how it can be like at work...!
Hi, Welcome to our group. You will find that it is a great place to be. Your story is similar to many of us, definitely, similar to mine. I chased doctors for a full year, while my disease was deteriorating, without getting a diagnosis. At the end, I diagnose myself with the help of a great South African website and got my Rheumatologist to provide me with an "experimental" treamtnet with Prednisone. Within one hour all seventeen joints that were affected by the disease at that time were back to normal. For the first time in months, I had no pain. A week later, I was "formally" diagnosed by the doctor with sero-negative RA and placed on the most aggressive treatment that I could get (a combination of Prednisone and Methotraxate). My response to the treatment has been phenomental. Seven months later (today), I am pain free, active (I walk for one hour every day) and I had no side effects to the treatment. You will be better soon too. Just do your research, insist on the best treatment you can get, and keep being active and optimistic. Hugs. Me
I was recently diagnoses with sero-negataive RA. I have probably have had it for 4-5 years, but since alll the labs tests I had were negative for RA, I fnally had x-rays and MRIs to confirm the diagnosis.
I have been a migraineaur(sp) for at least 15 years, along with many other maladies.
I was diagnosed with Graves' Disease in 1999. After PTU, Tapazole and 2 radiactve iodine treatments, my TSH was still vea difficult time regulating my thyroid hormones. I have to change my Synthroid dose about every months.
