About Me
I am 26. I work at a University as a Costume Shop Supervisor in the theatre department. I love teaching, spending time outside, and being with my friends and family. I've made a facebook group about PE. Its an awareness group. I want others to know the symptoms and risks. If I had caught my clot while it was still in my leg or foot, I did have a little pain in those areas but I wrote it off, maybe if I had know I wouldn't have the lung damage and pain I have now. Please join and post if you get the chance.

Hey Bonnie, I am so sorry your insurance folks are such jerks. I've found the same thing when I call and ask questions and they just can't seem to answer them. I hope you get some good news that the appeal worked. I used to work for a member of Congress and knew about about how to appeal medical claims, so let me know if you still have trouble and I'll send you all I know about getting an inquiry started with them. Hang in there!!

Close Pulmonary Embolism
I just came home from the hospital after being diagnosed with PE 3 days ago. I had chest on sept 26 while driving across the state. I stopped and went to a small town ER. They said I had a pulled muscle in my side. Five days later I saw my doctor. He order a CT scan and found the PE. I was hospitalized for five days. I went into work for a few hours the day after I was released. This experience is very frightening for me. I wasn't really aware I was at risk. I feel blessed to be alive.
