So Friday I went in for more testing, and I received my results yesterday. Great news is the leukemia is basically gone... 99.8% but part of me …
I am a 30 year old mother of three, two sons and one daughter. I am also married so some days it's like having four children! LOL! I love to read, scrapbook and be with family and friends. I am creative and very organized as well. I will be starting school on 10/13/08 for an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies. I was diagnosed on 10/02/08 with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. My doctor has started me on Gleevec. I am basically looking for some support from people who are there or have been there.

Thanks for reaching out to me! Patience is going to be my new goal lol
Belated birthday wishes, Amy! Hope you had a great day, and will have a great year. Love, Marie
your journal is very inspirational!!!!! Thanks for the advice also, hope all is well...feel good!!!!
Hi. Just read some of your journal entries and it is great to see your progress. I also have 3 kids but they are in college now. I can imagine the challenges you have with 3 young children (4),the husband, (they can't help it). I am so glad you are feeling better. I went to the oncologist after my sun issue a few weeks ago. It wasn't the sun apparently. So it was good that I went. I will go today and find out of the gleevic dose is incorrect or if I am becoming resistant to it. I am feeling great and normal, but keep waiting for the other shoe to drop
You are so motivational to me. I have been wanting to go back to school but just not motivated enough since I ve been diagnosed.
I was diagnosed on 10/2/08 with CML and I am still getting used to it all. I am in the chronic phase, which is good. Still I am concerned about treatment and maintaining it all. I also have a panic disorder so that's not really helping me out right now. lol. I know this is so cliche, but I am trying to take it one day at a time.
