About Me
I am the mother of a 5 year old girl who has fluency/stuttering issues. She is very smart but dicouraged by her speech difficulties as am I. My husband and I also have a 14 month old daughter. We are frustrated by people telling us that stuttering is normal for this age and will go away. We feel her condition is more serious and will do whatever it takes to help her lead a normal happy life.

Treatments
- Patience Not Working
- I try to be patient with my daughter but am struggling with this. I feel terrible. She doesn't really respond to patience, I see no difference.
- Speech Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- The one thing that we have seen working is when the speech therapist and my daughter say the same thing at the same time (memorized since he is too young to read) she stutters much less. Otherwise her fluency is not improving yet.
