About Me
Diagnosed with Lupus(SLE+anti-phos. syndrome) in fall 2007. Im a very friendly guy though also quite introverted. Trying to learn to deal with anxiety brought on by worries that this disease will ruin all my plans and not allow me to live a happy productive life. Had to withdraw from school because of my first lupus flair last year. Meds have me feeling better now in terms of physical symptoms (and Im really thankful of that) so im back in school, but brain fog and cognitive issues are making life very difficult, just cant seem to perform as i used to. depression seems to setting in... Just have to take it as it comes :-I

Recently Diagnosed With SLE and APS. Im a student trying to deal with brain fog and cognitive issues brought on by the lupus and the meds..
Treatments
- Cellcept Working / Worked
- i believe this is the drug that mainly keeps my lupus at bay. no stomach issues for me like some experience
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- steady 400 mg a day.. guess it works okay.. though i think cellcept does most of the work
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- started at 60mg ( horrible weight gain and fat deposits , shakiness, lack of motor skills) but now at 2.5 mg (very few side effects that i know of .. but perhaps contributes to my brain fog)
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- for the anti phospholipid syndrome.. works but has to be monitor very regularly.. ive had 2 bleeding events that required a precautionary visit to the emergency room .. but that was early on.. has been stable since
