When I isolate, I feed my self-hate.I've missed out on so many fun social events with friends and coworkers/classmates b/c they involve eating out. That behavior may have helped me lose a few pounds, but I also lost alot of fun times with friends and peers. The rare occasions when I would meet up for dinner, I would order soup or salad and then awkwardly play with my food, pretending to eat it. That's what my focus was on, when I should have been focusing on laughing/talking with friends. When I was really into my disease, the only friend I had was my ED and this friend was helping me destroy my life.Get out there--your life depends on it
