    • Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
      Type: Seconday Progressive MS

My mother was diagnosed with MS when I was one year old and she was pregnant with my little sister. She is an amazing woman who only recently retired (within the last 2 years). She is still able to walk in the house but uses walkers of chairs when out and about. She still drives and enjoys the new challenges of retirement. She is always busy. Copaxone is a blessing that pushed off the secondary stage for many years.

      Treatments

      Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
She joined a gym when I was 18 lost 45lbs and got a boob job!
      Betaseron Not Working
Used for fairly short time. Didn't help...
      Copaxone Working / Worked
Was a wonder drug for my mom and our family.
      Prednisone Working / Worked
Worked for the bad attacks but the doses required were so high that the slow titrate off still put her through withdrawl. It was always bad! BAD
    • Close Antiphospholipid Syndrome

      Treatments

      Lovenox Working / Worked
Was harsh on him. So many bruises. Did its job and is only on Coumadin now
    • Open Fibromyalgia

My work has put me in contact with many Fibro patients. They each have a different story with some common factors. Finding a good doctor in NM is not easy for any pain condition. Good doctors can be found with a little patience. There are doctors in clinical research that are fantastic but are not care providers beyond the trials.
