Hey girl, I really hope you're feeling better (mono-wise, or should i say 'dual-wise' - crap bad attempt at a pun). I want to let you know that i'm very barely on DS these days & likely may be closing my account shortly. It's for no reason other then i'm so busy & focused on getting my head around my writing & my guitar. But i think you kick so much ass - i wanted to make sure you knew. You and the kid will do great, i know it! I'm so proud of the months you have behind you & wish you the best of luck!

Hey girl, i hope you're doing good. Nice new Pic! Pls. see the new posts in the A.O. group...Kathyrsh says she's gonna leave DS. Maybe you know she's been active in that group from day one. She just underwent cancer surgery & is still recovering. I think this has been a really tough time for her. Pls post a reply to my 'pls. stay' post if you have a minute, & maybe even give her a hug. I think she's the type that takes care of others, & maybe doesn't get the appreciation she deserves... Thx & drop me a line so i know how you are! You rock! ---EveB

Close Heroin Addiction & Recovery
I started with off again on again opiate use and thought I was "stronger than the drugs" But it quickly escalated into a full blown addiction of course. My poison of choice.... Heroin and cocaine. I road the insane wave until I almost lost it all. I got some sense knocked into me when my I hit the sand face first. Now I'm just trying to keep my nose clean one day at a time.
Treatments
- Subutex Somewhat Helpful
- tried on my own w/ subutex and lost that fight. Ended up going with the Cold Turkey
- Cold Turkey Working / Worked
- Went Cold Turkey under the constant vigil of family went to Natrualpathic Doctor who suggested gave me a bunch of vitamins and some herbal supplements to Replenish my damaged system. My 2nd Day of detoxwithdrawls was worst but each day got better and better. GLAD I DID IT NO DOUBT
Close Cocaine Addiction & Recovery

- Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Working / Worked
- a Godsend. my best ally.
- Subutex Somewhat Helpful
- adds days on to detox, but takes the edge off
- Cold Turkey Working / Worked
- I went the natural direction. Herbs supplements teas tons of water. miserable but successful

- Counting Sheep Working / Worked
- Pamelor Not Working
- took for 8 months for depression/migraines kept me awake!!
- Trazodone Too Soon to Tell
- take for depression and sleep aid still takes me around 2 hours to fall asleep after taking it. Dr. started me at 50mg but I think i need more?
Open Migraine Headaches
first full blown Blasilar migraine at age 9. 3 gen. of family history w/ migraines. I aslo suffer from Ocular, Hemiplegic, and Ophthalmoplegic migraines.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- Chocolate and cheese eaten around the same times seemed to induce migraine
- Caffeine Somewhat Helpful
- Excedrin Not Working
- got used to it then got caffeine headaches when i didn't take it
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- Midrin Not Working

- hated the side effects
- Topamax Somewhat Helpful
- lost too much weight

- working amazingly well so far! But I'm a scared about the weight gain that I hear about so much.
- Meditation Working / Worked
- As well as alt. therapies such as Rapid Eye and EFT help me

- Trazodone Working / Worked
- taking along with Lexapro and seems to be working good.
- Zoloft Somewhat Helpful
