So this past week sucked horribly, I had midterms, didn't get a job I wanted and had an interview with a nurse about hep-c that depressed me more, she was very straight forward and well, there was little hope coming from her.
This morning I went to Borders, its my favorite place to relax and I could only find one book on Hepatitis C and reading that was a downer, it was interesting, but obivously still not a fairytale. Then I worked an outdoor event for the radio station today, got up at 6 a.m. and it started pouring down rain and we still had to carry the tent and equipment back to the car which was 2 miles away, so needless to say I felt like crap and was utterly exhausted.
Well, I came home I found a package for me and to my suprise it was my boyfriend. This was not only a surprise because hes in Iraq, but also because hes not the "sappy sweet" kind of guy, which for me is fine.
But the package was so sweet, it was called a "pajama gram" which I had never heard of before. It was a beauitful purple basket that included pajamas, a destressing pillow, a "knock I'm resting" sign for my door, salts that help with stress and lotion that helps you fall asleep. I thought this was so incredible because when I talked to him earlier this week I told him how I never really sleep anymore because of him being gone and the medicine.
It really made me feel better, its just what I needed after a crappy week.
I also decided today that I'm gonna put my mystery book on hold and start on my Hepatitis C book. I want to write a fresh, funny, sad and hopeful book that will actually help people with Hep C especially those who are around my age. The book selection for Hepatitis C is pathetic, there should be more out there and not just by doctors who haven't gone through treatment.

The gift was great news Nicole. Something told me your boyfriend was cool. It sounds like you have a real spiritual connection. Hang in there to the finish. Wes.

I applaud you for going forward and spreading the word on Hep C. We older people need you younger ones with youth on your side, to help us all. What a wonderful gift from your boyfriend,,,, very thoughtful.

Oh how lovely, after having such a rough day, to get this wonderful, thoughtful package.
Glad he made your day.
Good luck on the book, see the books from Lloyd Wright, he has testimonies from people who went through interferon, and natural treatments.

Wow....I am so impressed with your boyfriend. I know when I was in the service and ANYTHING we gave or received was precious.
Tell him thanks for serving, and we all here appreciate his service so much that words can't explaine.

Ouch, that does sound like a bad week. Thank goodness you have a loving BF who thinks of you, even in a war zone. I know it had to perk you up to get that.
The book sounds like a fantastic idea.
If you want, PM me and let me know the unhopeful types of things you were told about HCV. I want to be as prepared as possible.
