HELLO ALL,
I AM ADAM ROGERS. I'M NOT SURE IF I'VE POSTED HERE BEFORE. ANYWAY I WANT TO TELL MY STORY. Approximately four …
3/26/2007 I'M HERE AND STILL ALIVE. BUT CANNOT WALK. YOU SEE, ON Sept, 23, 2003, I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT. I WAS DRIVING ON MY MOTORCYCLE, WHEN I RAN …
Hope everything is going well? I would still love to hear from you when you have time. Have you started simple exercises yet? Julie xx ReBuildingYou.com
If you were never fit, you have less to lose... Less expectation and less grieving. If you were used to asking a lot of yourself, chances are you still do? Try and be gentler on yourself and concentrate of strengthening your core first - even just one or two minutes EVERY day to start... And I look forward to hearing from you. Julie xx
Yep there are lots of exercises... Think pilates... I can give you a whole bunch of excellent core strengthening exercises to do in a lying or sitting position. Can you do me a favour? Email me at julie@rebuildingyou.com and remind me and I will send them to you. And don't you dare give up! You're a martial artist, right? This path we have been rerouted to is not an easy one. But it's doable... I promise. Tell me more about your goals now... And where you are right now... So I can understand more about the situation. Hugs, Julie http://rebuildingyou.blogspot.com/

One of my biggest problems was balance. My story is on my other site www.ReBuildingYou.com if you are interested - I would really appreciate your feedback. Every day I did some core strengthening exercises - holding on to the wall or the railing on the deck etc. I practiced walking from one side of the room to the other - first resting my hand on my 3 yr old head! and then alone. I joined an aerobic group of seniors (I was only 28) and I held on to the wall. I persevered. Now you almost can't detect that I have a problem, although things are often 'moving' for me... Like I'm on a boat or something. But now I'm learning salsa! The turns are hard but I am working through them... Keep trying and let yourself feel giddy (not sure of the right word?) and just keep on anyway. With salsa for example I have discovered that if I immediately follow a left turn with a right one I am better... I've been at it over 20 years... Make it fun... Play with it, like a child. Don't give up. Julie
ON SEPT. 23, 2003 I RAN INTO A 600 LB. WILD BOAR ON MY MOTORCYCLE. I WAS IN A COMA FOR 3O DAYS. I HAVE ALL OF THE STRENGTH, BUT NO BALANCE, SO CANNOT WALK.
