Close Pulmonary Fibrosis
On August 5, I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrois. My wife and I both got sick with a cold around July 4. We both went to the doctor and was prescribed a dose of antibotics. My wife started getting better, but I wasn't making any progress. So I went back to the doctor and was admitted to the hospital. The doctors first thought I had pneumonia; however, after further tests they concluded I had Pulmonary Fibrois. I'm now living with oxygen daily.
Treatments
- Prednisone Too Soon to Tell
- I really don't know if it is working. I know that I retain large amounts of fluids when I take it. About a month ago, my ankles swelled up to the point they felt like they would burst. At that time I was admitted to the hospital and put on Lasix (water pills). That seemed to take the fluid off and reduce the swollen ankles. But as far as if it helps with my breathing, I can't really tell.
