The Sandomigran is for migraine - & so far, is doing a really good job. But this time of the year I get terribly low (not helped by elder d's becoming unstable mentally) - I can't help her, because of the "boyfriend" whom she has complete faith in. He's spent most of life in Jail, so I call him the Prisoner. Hope you are doing well, Fond regards, JaneD.

Just dropped in to give you a bunch of flowers - hoping you are not too bed healthwise. rnso glad the Inderal work for you - I got such a dreadful adverse Drug Reation from it. Now on Sandomigran, which works just really well (Not available in US I'm told).Sad to hear about all the menopause symptoms - has so many of them, so relieved they are all over now. fond regards, JaneD.

Hi, I hope your hot flashes go away soon. I also had a total hysterectomy, was 10 yrs. on the estrgen patch and at this point, I am on my 5th year with hot flashes and sometimes the sweats. "Fun" isn't it? Try to catch up on sleep whenever you can. I have used all kinds of probiotics and I find that they are usually effective when they are fresh but by the time I get down to about half the bottle, they are not as effective. I guess the live bacteria are reduced. Currently, I find Kyolic capsules to be good. I buy them in Shop Rite.

Effexor eh. Well...that was one that helped a lot. Helped with my pain associated with migraines. yes...helped with migraines too. Are you having luck with it so far? Made me tired but was worth that in all. Gained a bit of weight and was pretty constipated but those are listed in side effects i guess. (sorry took me so long to respond). Please feel free to write I am feeling bit better now. :) My best to ya!

    • Close Migraine Headaches

Hi, I've had migraines for over 30 years now, since I was 21. It has controlled my life, not allowing me to work full time or go to school. Before the triptans came out, I was in bed at least 3 days a week. Of course my family doesn't get it at all. So I feel very alone alot of the time. Zomig has been a blessing and I've been on propranolol most of these past years. I've tried Elavil, prozac, Depakote, all made me worse. I just wish people would understand the severity of it all.

      Treatments

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
I avoid everything possible that triggers a migraine
      Axert Working / Worked
Got a sample and seemed to work fast. Plan on asking my Dr. for a prescription
      Fiorinol Working / Worked
Works some of the time No side affects
      Imitrex Not Working
Made me deathly ill Made my body feel like it was paralzed and chest hurt
      Inderal Working / Worked
Have been on it for 25 years, have tried other things, but always came back to this. Makes me a little tired and depressed, but it's better than the migraines
      Maxalt Working / Worked
Had a sample, it worked ok
      Topamax Not Working
Didn't like the way it made me feel, shaky and spacey. Didn't help the migraines either
      Zomig Working / Worked
Use it about 3 times a week. Sometimes makes me tired or a little nauseas, doesn't always work
    • Close Menopause

Had a complete hysterectomy 5 years ago. Can't take any HRT because of migraines and breast cancer in my family. Symptoms only seem to be getting worse, not better with time! Now I suddenly have terrible anxiety, along with the headaches, hot flashes and night sweats. Fun!

      Treatments

      Estroven Working / Worked
Gives me a little more energy. It also makes me sleep better.
    • Open Anxiety

I've always been the nervous type, but after I had a hysterectomy I started getting bad anxiety and panic attacks that came out of no where. My Dr. gave me xanax, but I don't think it helps much.

      Treatments

      Inderal Working / Worked
I take this for migraines, must not be working for anxiety
      Lexapro Not Working
      Gave me a headache
St. John\'s Wort Working / Worked
      Xanax Working / Worked
      helps a little
