My husband and I do art together, he's a sculptor & I work in many styles & mediums. He suffered a minor stroke in January. He adopted my son after a long legal battle. I lost my mom when I was 14 and she was 40, which is how old my son and I are now. I think the best of people till they prove otherwise. Some people are addicted to drama, I seek peace. Appreciation is more important than love. I try to let go of things that are older than 6 months. I am wrestle with the difference between forgiving and forgetting. Acceptance is key to friendship. Peace and ritual are keys to happiness. Building new traditions and rituals together is what makes a great marriage.

my parents called the television the idiot box too. we weren't allowed to watch a lot of tv. around an hour per day. actually, i think its the best thing. people who watch a lot of tv are usually lazy, gluttoneous and prone to evil.

have you read her "betsy" series? they would be in the children's section of the library. i know it sounds foolish, but it is totally "there" you know? you read it and you remember looking and feeling and being just like that. the betsy books get longer each time, just like the harry potter ones do (never that long though. lol.) and ALL of them are good and have inspiring and wise statements all the way through. nothing jolting or bad in her books at all. lovely.

my husband had a mild stroke. He was working and then he didn't feel well, he couldn't speak clearly or think of words. We went to the e.r. and his bp was 225 over 140. It happened in a speech part of his brain. He is still tired and is talking a little slower than normal but I have heard it is likely he'll make a full recovery.

It takes me a while to warm up then I tend to bubble over. I dislike large gatherings and groups. If I go out I prefer company but I also love being alone and love solitude, so I try to work at home as much as possible. I have insecurities because I'm extremely sensitive, the flipside of this is I'm thoughtful and caring. I love people but I feel like I am misunderstood a lot and only a few people see this, they are my closest friends.
