About Me
I have 2 young girls (Cala is 7 and Madi is 6). I was recently (7/09) diagnosed with CLEAR CELL SARCOMA, a very rare and terminal cancer. I got divorced in July of 08, its very friend orientated and was mutual. My Poppi lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on 8-19-08. I miss my rock and now must rely on only me. I am a blunt gal who won't shy away from telling friends if they are making bad choices. I stand up for whats right. I believe that laughter soothes the hurting soul, so I make sure I laugh and make others laugh every day.

Interests
Ancient Egypt, poetry (writing and reading), horror novels & movies, sharks and other ocean creatures. I am a very eclectic personality! I hate romance movies and novels, and roses too. Weird for a girl, I know! I'm considered "one of the guys" with my pals and am proud of it! :-D

Close Parenting Preschoolers (3-5)
I have a 5 year old (Madison) at home with me during the day. She is my snuggle buggle angel. Madi and her sister Cala are my angels and my lights.

- She can be quite crazy and hyper at times.. a 5 year old on a natural caffine rush all day long! Also I am starting to see signs of a learning disabilty I think.
- Positive Reinforcement Working / Worked
- She gets special activities for being a good/big girl.. I am trying to get her prepared for school. She does a lot of things backwards, and she is supa clingy to mommy. Trying to ease that habit.. she is a stubborn little angel demon! :-)

Open Pancreatic Cancer
My dad got diagnosed with this on my birthday. (Sept 22, 2007). We are trying to deal with the fact that he will die. Just plain sucks!

- Dad recently had his first dose of chemo.. not going so well... Not as bad as it could be, but the poor guy is miserable.
Open Parenting Big Kids (5-8)
My daughter Cala is 6 and is 1st grade. She is supa smart and is way ahead of her class. She loves to read and write. Takes after her Mommy! :-)

- She loves school.. I go and help out her class about once a week. Is fun seeing what she does! Her teacher is awesome!

- She tells us everyday about her school day.. What her friends all did, the snack she had.. the songs she learns.. Is great fun!
Open Breakups & Divorce
Yep.. I am back here.. We tried, but I am unable to regain any of those feelings and love.. We are handling this as friends. And are handling it as a changing relationship, not an ending.

My Poppi lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on August 19th, 2008. He fought for 11 months.
