Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I was diagnosed with RA in August 2005. Since then I'm gained 70 pounds and have struggled to get it off. It's hard living with this disease.
Treatments
- Humira Not Working
- I had constant upper respiratory infections while on this medicine. Doctor took me off it. It did help with the fatigue and stiffness.
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- This has seemed to help. I don't feel any negative side effects from it.
- Orencia Too Soon to Tell
- I started the Orencia in April 2007 and then moved to California. Insurance wouldn't approve it so I didn't get back on it until March 2008. I have had one bout of pneumonia from it and sinus infections. I missed my July and August infusions. I just had my September infusion and am hoping it works.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- This really helps with my stiffness, however now I have some bone loss. My doctor is now weaning me off of it and I definitely notice an increase in stiffness and pain.
Close Sexual Abuse
I am a survivor of mother-daughter incest. I've been through a lot of therapy dealing with it and hope to share with others and continue my recovery.

- Group Therapy Working / Worked
- This is where I remembered the abuse. It was the start of a very long healing process.
- Talking Working / Worked
- Many, many years of therapy. It worked as I had some great therapists
- \"The Courage To Heal\" Working / Worked
- Great book. I also created my own newsletter for a time because I needed to find other who had female perpetrators.
Open Parents of Children with ADHD
My son, who is 5 1/2 has ADHD.
