well, i got therapy on Wed, then pdoc next week to see how its going. the sucky thing is, this is just how it is - this is my cycle - i'll go home, sleep 10 hours tonight (that you seroquel), then tomorrow i have confessional followed by chior, & i'll bet i'll be feeling better bythe end of the night. i'm just so unbelievably wiped out righ tnow...

- Depakote Working / Worked
- The first 8mths on this drug saved and changed my life for the better, then it was a rapid decline back into depression from my bipolar lows, the dose was increased 3 times and my decline increased along with it until it was changed, I had to beg my Dr to stop and listen but once she did I came back to me but the side effects of weight gain and sore joints etc are slow to disappear.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Using Psychotherapy helped me learn and understand possible triggers for my bipolar highs and lows, the first 6 months of treatment were as life changing for the better as using the meds.
- Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
- During my low bipolar periods my tastes in food change and I'm drawn to junk food which helps to sustain my lows and keep the weight on, so during my better moods I buy fresh meat & fish, frozen veg & fruit, Soya milk basically good food that can keep and I tend to cook in bulk and freeze it so during those lows I don't have to shop or think I just defrost and eat. I have a water purifier, fruit juicer, yoghurt & ice-cream maker. I keep clear of caffeine as it is a low mood trigger so have de-caf and herbal drinks it all takes time to get used to but is so worth it for the weight gain problems and crying/depreesed/foggy day moods
