WHAT IF...... Mood
Saturday, August 1, 2009 | A Poem/Artistic story

WHAT IF A LOT OF THE SYMPTOMS WE ALL HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM ARE LINKED TO VITAMIN D DEFICiENCY? WHAT IF ALL THE PAIN IN OUT TEETH AND NERVE RELATED FACIAL PAIN COULD BE LINKED TO DEFICIENCY FROM A VITAMIN YOUR BODY NEEDS DESPERATELY FOR OPTIMUM HEALTH? WHAT IF BECAUSE A LOT OF US HAVE BEEN DEFICIENT FOR SO LONG IT MAY HAVE CAUSED MORE SERIOUS PROBLEMS? MS? REUM. ARTHIRIS, DIABETIES, OSTEO PROASIS, CELIACS, CROHNS, IBS JUST TO NAME A FEW. WHAT IF FIBROMYALGIA CASES WERE MAINLY DUE TO LACK OF VITAMIN D THAT CAUSES PAIN WHICH MAKES YOUR BONES AND MUSCLES HURT HORRIFICALLY? WHAT IF IT HELPED JUST 10 PEOPLE??? IF STUDIES ARE SHOWING VITAMIN D ISSUES COULD BE LINKED TO MS WHY NOT TO TN A DIFFERENT TYPE OF NERVE CONDITION WHEN DR'S ARE UNABLE TO LINK IT TO ANYTHING ELSE?  WHAT IF IT WERE JUST THAT SIMPLE.

WHAT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH ALL THE DRUGS FOR THE ABOVE MENTIONED CONDITIONS WHAT A BREAK THROUGH. IT'S EXCITING ALTHOUGH ALITTLE SAD IF THIS IS TRUE HOW MUCH SO MANY PEOPLE COULD OF AVOIDED THE PAIN AND SUFFERING AND IT WAS JUST MISSED BECAUSE DR'S AND SCIENTIST THOUGHT WE ALL HAD SUCH COMPLICATED PROBLEMS.

PLEASE, PLEASE HAVE YOUR VITAMIN D LEVELS TESTED AND READ AS MUCH INFORMATION AS YOU CAN.YOU WILL BE SHOCKED AND AMAZED AND MAYBE HOPEFUL. MY DR. SAID SO MANY OF HIS PATIENTS ARE DEFICIENT. MAYBE THIS WILL HELP US ON A PATH TO HEALING AS A NATION. EVEN IF IT HELPS SOME OF WHAT YOU DEAL WITH IT IS WORTH THE SIMPLE BLOOD TEST. I HAVE STARTED MY VITAMIN D REBUILDING CAMPAIGN. WEEK 4. WILL POST UPDATE LATER.

Wow!! That is something to consider. I'm gonna have my DR. check out my levels. What exactly are you taking or doing to build up your levels? I was thrown into surgical menopause due to surgery. I do not take a Calcium supplement. I'm also bad about drinking milk and eating enough dairy products. I could very well be deficient, and that could possibly be a link to my Fibromyalgia. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Please keep me posted. Have a wonderful day, T

I also had my Vit D level checked. I have a friend who had very bad Fibromyalgia and was on Oxycontin among other things. She was so bad that getting out of bed was difficult everyday... well she got her D checked and it was in the 30's. She did the replacement treatment and is now off all meds and has lost 40 lbs. It's been over a year and she is still doing wonderful. What an encouragement that this is such a simple but effective treatment for our pain.

My only caution is that vitamin D is an oil based vitamin and massive doses can build up in the liver. I agree that testing before and after is definitely the answer. I have a theory, that besides the lack of sun we experience in some of our northern climates, that anyone who has been on antibiotics or cortisone or a variety of other drugs probably has underlying ulcerative colitis. Damage to the large intestines. This means you cannot absorb your vitamins and minerals properly. I started on Sulfasalzine for my RA, to replace the methotrexate which was destroying my liver, and my enzymes dropped to the middle of normal for the first time in years. This drug treats underlying undiagnosed ulcerative colitis. If you don't have this condition the drug will not be effective. Plus within one pill of starting, my asthma improved. One of the symptoms of ulcerative colitis is malnutrition. I think that can safely be applied to vitamin D. Maybe I will try large doses for a few weeks and see what happens. Excellent post and thoughts!

of course you should always check with dr and see if you really need vitamin d via blood tests. after my initial 8 week therapy of mega amounts of d i am now on caltrate. this is 600 with d and colon health. it helps you absorb the vitamins. also recommended by my dr after blood. work, i dont' ever just start taking a bunch of anything without my dr's input. we need to be safe not sorry and not have a different problem if we solve one..
thanks for the good info. my cousin has ulcer colitis and had a liver transplant and not doing well. i wonder if she is not absorb her vitamins??? they will do colitis surgery when she gets more stable. talk about suffering...

SPASMS!!!!!!!! Mood
Friday, June 5, 2009 | A Painful story

I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE HECK THESE SPASMS CAME FROM BUT I AM ABOUT READY TO LOOSE MY MIND. SIX WEEKS AGO I WAS SITTING IN ART CLASS. I JUST ATE DINNER BEFORE I CAME AND THEN WE WERE LAUGHING AND TALKING AT CLASS AND BAM! THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO START SCREAMING. THE SPASMS WERE RIGHT OVER MY WIRES IN MY NECK. IT TAKES ABOUT THREE DAYS FOR EVERY THING TO SETTLE DOWN ONCE I GET ONE. I READ THAT STRESS OR INJURY CAN CAUSE SPASMS BUT ENOUGHT ALREADY. NOW I AM TRYING TO BALANCE SPASMS, RAMSEYS, AND TN. SUCKKKKYY!
