      He had an emotional affair over the internet, texts, and phone with a girl he had sex with in the first year of our relationship while we were broken up- or so he says. He tried to meet with her for sex 3 times- but she couldnt make it. Then he ended it. I found the email account 3 weeks later. I forgave him. We are currently working through it. D-day was July 8th.

    • Open Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

      I believe I have PTSD after finding out last July that my soon-to-be husband cheated on me 5 months before the wedding. The day I found out was extremely traumatic and shocking and I have never had a reaction like that to anything before. It was the only time in my life I ever wanted to die. Those thoughts only lasted a few moments, but the whole day was insane. I am now triggered by things and have panic attacks.

      I like singing and listening to music. My husband is a musician so it helps me feel connected to him as well. It is an escape from anxiety.

      DS has helped me more than anything and I consider it my "free therapy" I also have a great roomate who I talk very openly with. Talking to my H has been hard because it hurts him to see the pain he has caused me. But he is opening up more and more every day.

      I take this only when I feel a panic attack coming on. It seems to work. But sometimes I dont know they are coming and it is too late.
