Hey bud...long time no talk! How are you doing? Whats new?
I have always longed to "please" people; ever since I was a younge child. To this day I still do to ome certain extnt, well; with my father's affections anyways. I have chosen to be a different person, to please only one; that's me. I am taking back control of my life and for once "I" will be happy, independant vs codependant and I will be ston and confident on my own two feet!
At 21 years old when I was deployed to Somalia in'92-93,as medical Technician. A year later Aug 1994 I was deployed to Rwanda.yes, two tours to Africa.I did and witnessed many different things.I spent my first 4 days home from Somalia intoxicated.never thought anything was wrong, just partying, etc.I had many traumatic experiances.I'm not in the military anymore, but was recently Dx'd after being triggered at work 15 yrs later.Having a difficult time finding myself and dist'ing me from the PTSD.
I became involved with a friend. Instead of being able to communicate effectively with my spouse I leaned on someone else who offered me what I hoped for from my spouse, craved from my spouse.I am not proud of my actions by any means; but it happened and nothing can change it. All I can do is pick myself up and move onwards.
