Oh, no--not another medicine to take!
I wish there were some way that all of my medicines and supplements could be combined into an easy-to-take, once-a-day …
I edit nonfiction manuscripts, so RA in my hands/wrists is vexing! My very supportive husband does most of the household chores, including cooking every weekend. Our son's in college (living at home) and our daughter just graduated from high school. I work from home, so I make my own hours, putting in less time on days when my RA bothers me.

Love to visit the Mammoth Mountain area in the summer. Hubby's an angler and a geologist.

How's your buns? Hope your bod hold up with all those stairs. I have yet to make it to The Castle, but it's on the list. Hope you're well and have a great weekend. hugs, doug
BIG graduation class. I'm glad it was cool! We're supposed to get some 80's, too. Today was perfect. I'm doing pretty well. I just had a Rituxan infusion, but it takes a while, and I'm getting a little bit of action, mostly in my feet. No water conservation here. No meters, either. According to an article in the local paper, which I think may be off a little, per capita water consumption is 731 gal/day. I know there are some flooders, but, the natl avg is between 200 and 300. And this place is loaded with eco-friendly people, or so they say. How are your bones (and joints)? Hope you're thriving. doug
How's stuff in the other CA? More cold here, but the rain's been replaced by wind. I need to get going because it's a little warmer outside. Hope you're thriving. hugs, d
Hi, Deb. You may have noticed I disppeared a little, but I'm here as... myself. What a concept. I hope you're well. I noticed a bunch of clouds down your way, on the satellite imagery... are you getting rain? It's cold, cloudy and wet here. This is why I moved back down from Washington. C'est las vie. hugs, Doug
Thanks for your comement and hugs. It means a lot to me. So, you had noisy roomates, too, eh? No single rooms in this hospital, but I loaded my iPod and took my headphones, so I was able to shut out the worst. On the very last morning, my new (fifth) roommate started snoring like I've never heard before. I yelled "HEY!" in his direction, and that seemed to have registered, at least until I fell back to sleep. It's been drizzling all day, but the sun has finally come out. I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow, though. hugs, doug
It started with a sprained thumb in spring '07. Instead of getting better, the pain spread to other joints over the next few months. When I finally decided I wasn't getting any better, I saw my doc, who sent me to a rheumatologist. RA was confirmed in fall '07, but because of scheduled surgery, RA meds (except naproxen) were delayed till December. RA is still active, but meds and diet changes have stabilized the disease.
My sister-in-law was just diagnosed with MM.
