  MKAT...when we take our vows, we promise through sickness and in health and all that other stuff...I whole heartedly belived in the vows because I honor all my promises at least I give it my all. I was married to an alcoholic for 10 years (my first two children's father). His drinking was progressive and there were sheer moments of JOY and those moments started to change in a subtle way. He became meaner and meaner with time. I wondered if I was his trigger, I blamed myself so I was extra sweet, kind and a lot of extras so that when he became "angry" he won't be mean to me because I was extra nice. I was raised never to become a victim and I sought information about alcohlism and went to alanon meetings...but, it can only get better when HE or she admits that they have a problem. I believed in my vows until he almost took my life one night...the night I had him arrested...the night I never looked back... Don't tough it out unless he sees his illness and shows you by taking the 12 step program along with a rehab. Don't forget to protect yourself.

  Hi Karen7777, Ive read your journal etc. I think your right when you said you have to think positive all the time or else its the , whts a good word? the craps!! your goal is to find a boyfriend or good male friend. I dont believe you will have a problem with that. Beautiful eyes and skin, and the cutest smile. Put a little pink lipstick on. Listen to me, Im single and like do I know how to catch a man. I should have mentioned, Im actually a little shy when Im around someone i would love to meet, other wishe, I chit chat alot around men. Im seeing a psychiatrist and jpsychologist to see what makes me tick, besides my Tinnitus, Well I wanted to say hi to you and glad to meet you. Stay on board. Good and great people. luvuall-shirley

  Thank you ladies for being there to listen to me. Karen7777, I just want to say to you YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH THOSE WORDS YOU SAID TO ME MEANT THE MOST. I HAVEN'T HEARD THEM IN NEARLY 20 YEARS. AND WHEN I WAS CRYING AND NEEDED A SHOULDER, A FRIEND, A MATE HE WAS NOT THERE. I CRYED BY MYSELF NEVER HEARING THE WORDS "I LOVE YOU" WHEN I NEEDED IT. THANK YOU KAREN7777!!!!
