Prayer
Im sorry to hear about your dad. You and he are in my prayers. My husband is stage 4 and I can tell you prayer works. He's responding to treatments and is feeling good. His was on his left kidney and mets in his lungs. they removed the kidney and are now working on teating the lungs. He feels better now than he did before he found out what was wrong with him. I also agree with demaris, eating and sleeping can not be overrated! get as much as you can.

I'm so sorry to read about your dad. My mother has the same cancer and just started Torisel Wednesday after the failure of Nexavar. She could not tolerate Sutent.

Close Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer)
My Dad was rediagnosed with Renal cell in July. He was initially diagnosed in 1990 and had is left kidney removed. In July, he had terrible back pain and was given an MRI and there is a large mass in the kidney cavity along with lesions up his backbone. He started a treatment of Torisol and he ended up with congestive heart failure. We are preparing for his goodbye as we watch him get progressively worse
Treatments
- Nephrectomy Working / Worked
- Kidney removed in 1990. He was cancer free until July 2008
