I can't seem to figure myself out. I went to the bone doc yesterday and he said that he could take out the plate and screws in my …
Is your shoulder not healing properly that you need to have surgery? I hope you have a complete and quick recovery from your surgery too. Will you be showing pictures of your knitting too? I hope so, for you are very good at it. I hope the best to you and your family and thank you for the hug. David
Happy October, Karen.
Oh, the radiation is not so bad, so far. I have 20+ to go. I lie on a table while they line up the machine to match marks on my skin. It shoots radiation low from the left, then high from the right. I guess it would be 8:00 and 2:00. So far there is no pinkness or soreness to the tissue. I am told that will happen most likely after 4 or 5 weeks. Girls on this site say it heals quickly after the treatments end. Wait and see on that one.
I'll go back to chemo on the 8th, so no rad that day.
Sister might adopt another cat (#7). She saw ad in the paper. Lady died leaving her cat needing a new home. Friends are tending it now. It is a Chocolate-Point Himalyan. Male named Tulip. What a name for any cat, never mind a male. The friends will help new owner pay for neutering.
That was the 2nd time she called about a cat. Last week she called to ask if there were any black males in a litter that was offered free. Guess not since she did not go get one. I thought she was going to wait and let Mother Nature guide any new cat to the back door. That is how we got Hoover, Junior, and Harlie. October 14th is Harlie's anniversary.
Days are getting nippy, now. Low in the 40s this morning. Both heaters are running. I have a load of wash going. I'll hang it outdoors, but it won't dry today. Maybe I'll just hang it on the porch so I don't have to move it later.
Take care,
Bertha
I wish! It's just part of a picture I found online. I cropped it, what's missing is two swans in the water. I'll post it if you want. We do get color, but not that much. Farther up the mountain where there are more aspen & maple trees however, it will be gorgeous in another few weeks.
Hello Karen, I am back from my trip and glad to see your hug. How are you and how have you been? I hope all is well for you and your family and I look forward to catching up with you.
Hi, Karen.
Glad to hear you and Izzie are safe from the flooding. I saw the video from there. scary stuff. I have an epal in Atlanta. I'll have to ask him if he was near flooding.
Sweetie, huh? Never been called that before. Neighbor had a wee Poodle by that name.
Weather is iffy here. Towels have been hanging in the yard since after noon Wednesday. Looks like rain again.
Shoulder replacement? Wow! May the Saints watch over you and the surgical team. ( Just in case you are Catholic. ) If not, then I hope you have a good Guardian Angel. I believe in them. Mine has/have been busy the past 15 years. Even longer than that. Way back to 1980, when I hit the concrete wall of the bath-house at the local dam. Fell off my bike, broke my fall with my left arm, but could just as easily been my head. The humerus broke in two just above the elbow. Break was near the nerve that controls hand movement. I was in hospital for a week with that arm. Never did have any pain from it, though. So I can not even try to imagine what you experience.
Will your sister take care of Izzie while you are in hospital?
I have 2 radiation treatments under my belt. I skip tomorrow so I can have the echocardiogram. So far they have been easy. I told the techs to just make sure no men are in the room or watching the monitor next door. They promised to do that.
Well, take care.
Bertha
