Close Meningitis
Hit the emergency room at 4am in July 2008 with the "worst headache I've ever had." No history of migraines or anything. They sent me home with hydrocodone and it was as useless as candy. Went back the next day and was given a spinal tap which came back cloudy (indicating meningitis). I was put in isolation for 8 days and the cultures grew to confirm I had meningitis. Have had headaches ever since. They are almost never gone, but some days are worse than others.
Close Military Families
I've been married to my AF MSgt since July 2007. In Sept. 2007, he was notified he would be doing a year-long tour in Korea. . .He left in March 08 and will return March 09. When he returns, we will have been apart longer than together as a married couple. We are both dealing as best we can and I am learning a lot as a new wife and new step-mom to my six-year-old step son.
