Close Cervical Cancer
Diagnosed with stage III cervical cancer in June 2007. Had chemo and radiation (internal and external). Still recovering from some physical and emotional side effects.
Treatments
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- Chemo once a week for 5 weeks. Was always nauseated the day after. Once I was nauseated, meds didn't seem to help (Zofran or Compazine).
- Cisplatin Working / Worked
- Was a low dose to support my radiation, but I felt badly afterwards (for at least a day). I lost about 10# during the course of my treatment...nothing tasted good.
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- I think (hope) it worked...but after the brachitherapy (internal), everything stuck together...I'm still fighting it.
