Hi, I work partime at Subway and studied Hospitality Level 3-4 for a year and Computers Level 4 for a year mainly to upskill for work..U'v all helped me understand where my son is at and I really thank you for that.

Love classic cars, those big beautiful sexy icons from the 50's and 60's....chevys, impalas, tempests , lincolns etc, love drawing when I have the time..music and dancing around the house and in the rain, photography, horse-riding bareback along the beach..haven't done that in ages..movies, reading..tonnes of stuff but this will do for now..

Close Schizophrenia
My son is 18 and was recently diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Misunderstanding and communication problems between Us and his Medical Team combined with the fact that he has yet to accept that he has Schizophrenia and needs to take his meds, and to understand that although others his age use alcohol and marijuana it's not a good idea for him to, has resulted in him ending up in hospital again.
Treatments
- Zyprexa Working / Worked
- At 15 mg this works well for my son, he is highly functional, cheerful etc..he hasn't been on it long enough to report any side effects but because he wasn't taking his meds properly and ended up back in hospital the Doctors are considering putting him on Risperidone which, as I understand, is the only suitable drug that can be injected. Personally I don't like the idea of Risperidone because of the reported side-effects.
