I can hear it in your posts that you're beginning to feel better :) This is a great site, it's been a big comfort to me too. I also spent a LOT of time reading about Lyme. I always believe knowledge is power; but I had to admit that after totally immersing myself in Lyme info, I needed to take some time off. I stayed away (ok, mostly stayed away ;) from the books and Lyme web sites. This was before I found this site. My Mom now has the book I read first, and can only read a few pages at a time. She's finding it too intense to absorb all at once. There are a lot of sites out there that focus on the negative. Granted, there are crappy things about Lyme, no doubt. But for me, an attitude of "I'll beat this thing!" works so much better than "I'm getting screwed by the system" or "Why me?" Hang in there - you too WILL beat this thing :) Jenn

Hang in there hopefully they have caught yours early. In my opinion doxy may need to be a stonger dosage than what you are taking or at least on an 8wk round not just the usual 21days. lyme works in 4wk cycles and if started early enough the doxy will probably take care of it if you take it for 8wks verses 3wks. Question your doc and see how much he/she knows about lyme treatment it will pay off.
