I just noticed that you are from Orlando. I notice when we are in Florida that my face gets worse so I try to stay out of the sun but it's pretty hard to do down there. I you have a big hat, it helps.

Hi did you get any Primrose yet? It may take a while before you notice anything. It's better to just try one thing at a time to see if you notice anything rather than several things at once. I was told in my health book to do it that way.

Hi You have to go to a doctor in order to get the pills that I take for the acne. It is called Apo-erythro - Erythromycin Base 250 mg. I take 2 per day. One in the morning at breakfast and one with my evening after my meal. It is an antibotic, but you can take it all of the time. There is another kind of erythromycin but you have to stay out of the sun if you take that, so don't get that one. I find that it helps with the pimples and also the moisturizer cream that I use daily helps with the dryness. I don't think there is anything that takes away the redness totally. The makeup I use helps to calm it down, but if I get too hot with exercise or working in the garden, then my face become really red. Try to avoid stress and I think certain foods such as spices and coffee might cause the redness. I still drink coffee (1 or 2 cups per day) as I don't see any difference, but you might find that some food cause a problem, but you would have to stop eating them to see if it makes a difference. Take care. and have a nice day!.... Connie.

Yes, they are capsules and I take 1000 mg per day. I get them at Walmart under the Equate label: Evening Primrose Oil with Vitamin E. I live in Canada so I don't know if they carry the same in other countries, but you should be able to find the evening primrose in most pharmacies or health food stores. I have also been using a moisturizer and makeup which has helped the redness in my skin. If you want more information about those products, let me know.

I use Evening Primrose for Rosacea but I can't find anything in my book recommending it for menopause and hot flashes. The book is called America's #1 Guide to natural health: Prescription for Nutritional Healing , Third Edition by Phyllis A. Balch, and James F Balch M.D. It contains a huge list of disorders and the very important, important and helpful nutrients that you can take for each disorder. It you to take only one nutrient at a time to see how it affects the disorder, etc. It's a very interesting book which you should be able to get at any book store. I also take an antibitic daily for my rosacea which, I think also helps. I have added the primrose which was on the list but I do not take anything else except for multi vitamins and calcium tablets. Evening Primrose is a good healer for many skin disorders and contains linoleic acid, which is needed b;y the skin. Vitamin B complex is another one recommended. Let me know if you want more information about the health book.....Connie
