Hi my DS friends
I have to tell you...do you remember the other day I was saying how wonderful it was to look out my window and see all those horses corralled across the street and the sound of them and how it brought such serenity?
Well, imagine my surpise when I woke up this morning...instead of a lovely bunch of horses. I have now got a double row of porta-potties lined up right across the street where the horses had been. There must be 60 of them. LOL. Obviously there is some event going to be there but I have no idea what or when? I hope the wind is blowing in another direction when the event is going on.
It has been raining here off and on for 2 days...mostly on. It is not the rain that bothers me, it is the grey that comes with it. It always makes a heavy feeling inside me...since I grew up in Vancouver, BC the rain capital of Canada...the world was grey a lot.
Last night I watched a stand-up comedy show with Jeff Foxworthy, the comic who does all the redneck jokes. I usually do not enjoy that kind of humor but last night I could hardly control myself from laughing. My cheeks were hurting. (Reminded me of my pot smoking teen days lol).
Laughter really did me some good....must wake up some endorphins or something, but I feel really good today.
Have to go get some food into this place, it is like Mother Hubbard's cupboard...not really, but it just doesn't have anything I really want.
Last night I reminded myself of my daughter when she was a teen...she used to go to the fridge, open the door, stare for 2 mins, slam the door and say, "there's nothing to eat here", and I'd have just spent $250 at Safeway. Fifteen minutes later, she'd be back at the fridge again. I used to tease her and say that the "fridge fairy" hadn't come yet...I was like that last night myself.
Anyway am going to go out in this grey, rainy day and shop, then some laundry and then just watch the idiot box....it will be a good day and productive.
I hope you all have a safe 24.
Blessings
Mary
