Well my GI's physician assistant, Kristen who has been with me since day 1, called me today to follow up on my p hone call yesterday about the tremulousness. She said seh adn my doctor both want m eto stay on 30mg of prednisone for two more weeks, then drop down to 25mg and tapr down by 5mg every 5 days after. She also wants me to decrease my imuran beginning tomorrow back down to 50mg until I get my blood re-checked in two weeks. Apparently my liver function tests keep coming back each time slightly more elevated than last. Not sure what that means, but she is concerned. She says if my liver function levels are still high in two weeks, we will stop the Imuran treatment and go another route with medication. She wasn't specific on what route, but my guess is Humira or Remicade...which would be unfortunate because I do not have health insurance to cover the extremely high costs of those treatments. Sigh.
