  That is soooo WONDERFUL!!!! I had to go in to my doctor's office for the first round of shots, and a nurse had me watch a video on how to inject it and about all the side effects. Then she gave me the first injection and had watched me give myself the rest....just to make sure I was doing it correctly. Do you know yet if you are getting the pre-filled pens or do you have to measure your dose out yourself with a shringe? I get the pen style shots. The pain from the crohn's hurts worse than the shots. The only tips I can give you is that it does help to let the prefilled pen sit out for about 15 minutes from the fridge before you inject it, and let the alcohol wipe dry after wiping the area you are going to inject it before injecting....that helps take some of the sting out. I notice I do better giving myself the shot in my stomach than in the leg....and the stomach doesn't bruise as bad as the leg area does. I guess cause I have a Prednisone belly and there is more fat there? ha! Ice before and after on the injection site does help with the stinging....I don't even notice it anymore I am so use to it. Every Tuesday I give myself a shot. You are suppose to inject about an inch radius away from your belly button in a different area every time.....some places sting worse than others...guess it has to do with where you are more muscley and fatty at??? Ha...I am fat everywhere! I am soooo excited for you. I pray for you that this works wonders like it has for me. You have gone through so much, and I hope this is the one that will work for you to get your life back on track. Oh, and I only had 1 pen malfunction in the 15 months I have been taking this. The maker's of Humira worked very good with me on getting a free replacement pen. So if this happens to you - just call them. They'll ask you the expiration date on the pen, so don't throw it away. They may or may not want you to return it to them. In my case, they had me dispose of it. Good luck, and let me know how you do on it!!! If I remember right...about week 2 or week 3 I could start telling a big difference!!! Lots of luv!!!! Amy

  I've been doing pretty good. I think I had the flu or something for three days in a row. It is better now, and it scared me that I was starting to flair...but I am pretty sure it was the flu now. Hope you hear back from the Humira program soon!!!

  I started to wonder where you at? Sorry that you have not been feeling so well.Thats Colitis it can hit you like a train wreck.I'm still doing ok just gained to much weight and need to loose alot thats why no energie &all that sleeping lately.Hope you feel better today!
