My name is Melissa. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis when I was 14. I have had 6 surgeries for the disease and am currently on constant pain meds and birth control to suppress it. It bothers me daily and nothing has helped, but I have bigger things to worry about. Two years ago (almost 3) I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in the terminal ileum. I went into remission after my diagosis (I also quit all of my meds back then cold turkey.dumb, I know) and for two years was pain free and symptom free. Then in August, I went in a severe flare and have been in it ever since. I am currently taking Asacol (two pills, three times a day), and darvocet for pain. I was on Prednisone for 6 months, but have finally tapered off of it. Yay! Now I have just started Humira injections. I don't have health insurance so the pharmaceutical company has given me the medicine free of cost! I am so hopeful that this will be the drug to put me into remission. oh, my most recent colonoscopy showed I have three fistulas going from the anus to the beginning of my large instestines....awesome, right? At 22 years old I don't know how much more I can take!!!!!!!

I definitely enjoy reading, writing and EATING haha. Watching movies, shopping and hanging out with friends are also things I enjoy.

i got to that stage that nothing else helped either...i hope you get the news you want from the MRI can like i say im here and im a good listerner its 3.13am here so not the best of nights really but im about to go to bed now. pls if u have any questions or anything just send me a message and i cant wait to get to know you and find a new friend...love claire x
mel i just read yr post only you know if you can put up with the pain and all the other major problems you have now. myself i couldnt so at 26 i had a full and total hysterectomy and my op was at 1pm by 7pm i was walking about watching a soap and i was crying laughing screaming you name it with the emotions but i didnt look back. yeah a year ago i hit depression though wanting a baby but my life story explains some of that to pls feel free to have a look at my page, i made the right choice FOR me no matter how much i want kids i could never have coped with the endo ect...not sure if you mean the 16 tgoday you are having yr MRI pls let me know how it goes and im here if u want to keep in touch. that wig makes me want to shave my head.. so you! I'm doing crappy- the arthritis with this flair is awful- hoping the Humira works.... you look like you are off Pred too? How's the endo going? I'm so reliveved to see you looking/sounding better- for a while there I was really worried about you.

I was diagnosed three years ago. Right now I am very very sick from it and I am just scared about the possible outcomes.
Diagnosed when I was 14. Still struggling with it to this day. Nothing seems to be helping.
