my new blog
I started up a blog for those who are searching for more guidance with their lives suffering from crohns and endometriosis. i am open to suggestions …
My name is Melissa. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis when I was 14. I have had 6 surgeries for the disease and am currently on constant pain meds and birth control to suppress it. It bothers me daily and nothing has helped, but I have bigger things to worry about. Two years ago (almost 3) I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in the terminal ileum. I went into remission after my diagosis (I also quit all of my meds back then cold turkey.dumb, I know) and for two years was pain free and symptom free. Then in August, I went in a severe flare and have been in it ever since. I am currently taking Asacol (two pills, three times a day), and darvocet for pain. I was on Prednisone for 6 months, but have finally tapered off of it. Yay! Now I have just started Humira injections. I don't have health insurance so the pharmaceutical company has given me the medicine free of cost! I am so hopeful that this will be the drug to put me into remission. oh, my most recent colonoscopy showed I have three fistulas going from the anus to the beginning of my large instestines....awesome, right? At 22 years old I don't know how much more I can take!!!!!!!

i am beginning to think my doctors are out to get me. so the cimzia is out the window. i did my first injection of methotrexate on wednesday morning. …
Hey Mel - how's the methotrexate going? I've been thinking of you. I hope you're doing ok.
xxoo
that wig makes me want to shave my head.. so you! I'm doing crappy- the arthritis with this flair is awful- hoping the Humira works.... you look like you are off Pred too? How's the endo going? I'm so reliveved to see you looking/sounding better- for a while there I was really worried about you.
Love the new "do"-have you been able to grow your hair back in, or just found a perfect wig? You look really good. I haven't been on in a while- so I'm behind on what's been goin gon with you... I saw you are starting methotrexate (dont' laugh at my feeble attempt to spell it)- did the Humira not cut it for you, or did you start reacting? I'm suposed to start it on the 15th- I'm nervous, but desperate.....
Hey, was just reading one your posts and noticed how freakin' cute your hair looks. I know telling you that does not help with how crappy you feel right now. Wish I had something better than "nice hair." It really is cute, though.
Hope you get some answers soon!

I was diagnosed three years ago. Right now I am very very sick from it and I am just scared about the possible outcomes.
Diagnosed when I was 14. Still struggling with it to this day. Nothing seems to be helping.
