    • About Me

I loved my father dearly and I will miss him terribly. He passed away on 9-4-08 at the young age of 72 due to a rare and aggressive form of Bladder Cancer (small cell carcinoma) which typically belongs in the lungs. My wound is still very tender. When my eyes open and close each day my first and last thoughts are of my wonderful dad. Needless to say throughout the day and in everything I do and say. I miss his phone calls daily on my way to drop off my girls to school, Miss visiting him and seeing him standing outside the house waiting on my arrival or seeing that big beautiful smile when I walk into the house, I miss his smile, his touch, his words and his love for his 2 beautiful granddaughters and hearing him talk to my husband and most of all I just miss HIM....my father, my friend my hero!

I can become lost in the still moments of just being around a horse. I've always had this yearning to be close to them and yet have never owned one, and I ride whenever it's possible. I enjoy fishing, motorcycles, reading and just sitting still enjoying the beauty of life right now.

May God bless you and keep you in perfect peace. Here are some encouraging bible verses to uplift you. Remember, faith moves mountains and you can get through anything in the name of Jesus. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, "With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. Psalm 18:28 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

    • Close Bladder Cancer

My father had a very aggressive and rare small cell carcinoma of the bladder, which normally is found in the lungs. He had chemo prior to doing his reconstruction because the tumor was so large. After his reconstruction of course he had incontinence but a few months thereafter it seemed under control. His bladder cancer ultimately metasized into the pelvis but I would be glad to offer any advice I have or any support to those newly diagnosed. My father would have wanted that.
