I am doing much better compared to right after the surgery. I had some complications with the incision and it is still healing. But hopefully I will be back at work next week. Hope your GI and colonoscopy goes well.

Well, I usually take the over the counter iron and B12 ones. Since you have a pretty low Hemoglobin, if your doctor can prescribe Nu-iron which is stronger than the over the counter iron, it probably would help your hemoglobin and hematocrit go up more quickly. I realized that I have been taking too much medication, so I'm trying to see how my UC will react with cutting down on the meds. It seems today I am not going as much when I cut down on the meds. When I have flare ups, I usually go to the bathroom every 4 hours. And the pain comes every 4 hours. I take tylenol for the pain and it helps. Have your tried to do a work at home job? Right now I am working for Walgreens which has an insurance claims department where us pharmacy techs could work in an office type of environment. We also have the option of working at home. I'm thinking to work at home because of the Colitis. Maybe if you can check out Walgreens and take the pharmacy tech exam. You can work at home which would be very convenient. You get payed only $10.00/hr, but at least it is something. God bless, and I'll be praying for your health. Please keep me in yours too. For now, my hemoglobin and hematocrit are okay. Liver is a good source of iron and spinach if you would like to eat foods rich in iron. Also juicing carrots with cabbage is good for your colon rich in iron and prevents colon cancer. God bless! :)
