Close Chronic Pain
I am suffering terrible PHN due to shingles. It is located in my eye and surrounding area of the face and head.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Not Working
- Didn't notice any help from this.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Helped, but I don't want to take these drugs.
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- Lyrican helps a lot, but I am seeking more relief.
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- Helped, but I don't want to take these drugs.
- Zostrix Working / Worked
- Minimal help.
Close Trigeminal Neuralgia
I have postherpetic neuralgia which is affecting the trigeminal nerve, and is causing exactly the same symptoms as are described here.
Open Shingles
I developed shingles in Sept. 2005. It went improperly diagnosed for several days, so I received Valtrex and Famvir too late to be as effective as they might have been. The shingles broke out on the left side of my forehead and oozed into my left eye, infecting it, and I spent over 3 months unable to open my eye. Now, over a year later, I still have intense itching in my left eye, and on the upper left side of my face and into my scalp, with sharp stabbing pain as well.

Open Heart Failure
I was diagnosed with CHF in October, 2007. As I look back, I can see where I have various symptoms for years, and didn't know what was happening, and doctors obviously did not order the correct tests. I am to a point now where I cannnot even do my house work.
Treatments
- Aldactone Working / Worked
- At least it saves potassium, but it makes me very nervous, and I stutter.
- Carvedilol Somewhat Helpful
- Not as good as Metoprolol
- Digoxin Too Soon to Tell
- Who knows?
- Lasix Working / Worked
- This keeps me going!
- Metoprolol Working / Worked
- Helps with the atrial fib and blood pressure!
- Coumadin Too Soon to Tell
- Dont know whether this is helping.
