About Me
I'm 20 years old and developed complex regional pain syndrome after a running injury to my calf muscle. I have been on crutches for over and year and cannot walk at all.I'm studying Maths at home so I can hopefully get a degree with my spare time.

Close Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy
I developed CPRS after a running injury in my calf muscle.Ive been on crutches for over 1y and I cant put any weight on my leg at all. Last yr I was walking on 2 crutches but now I cant do this.I experience alot of pain and my leg has become bent due to the pain. I have to lie down with my feet supported everyday and cant do normal activities.Im getting phsiotherapy which works up to a point but I keep getting relapses and re-living the pain cycle. I also have muscle atrophy due to lack of use.
Treatments
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- I have phyisotherapy to try and get my affected limb mobile. Due to the nature of CPRS my condition gets worse if I do too much so I am repeatly re-llving pain and restriction. It helps sometimes but at the moment is not helping

Hi, I have severe CPRS and have been on crutches for over a year. I'm bedbound most of the day and I'm worried my condition cant be improved.I'm only 20 and its really distressing to be so resticted when I was such an active person. I am curretely seeking alternatives incase I never walk again.
Treatments
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
